Step 1: Check the Application Period
The scholarship has specific application periods set by the Georgia Education Savings Authority each year.

- Be sure to apply within the designated window to be considered. You may apply at any point during the window; priority is not given based on when you apply

Fill out all required fields, providing accurate information about the student and parent or guardian.
Step 3: Submit Required Documents
You will need to prove eligibility. Here’s what you may be asked to provide:

Proof of Georgia residency: you will be required to upload either a Georgia issued driver's license or state ID. Additionally, you will need to upload one of the following: utility bill (gas, water, or electric), mortgage statement, deed, or lease agreement.
- If you are Active Duty Military transferring into the state of Georgia, you will be required to upload a copy of your active duty orders and a valid Driver's License.

Proof of Income: you will be required to upload your most recent federal 1040 or 1040 EZ tax form.

- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- Medicaid
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
- Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
- Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI)

School enrollment records: you may be required to upload proof of public school attendance during the 2025-2026 academic year such as report cards or attendance reports. This will not be required for kindergarten students.
