This article is intended for GA Promise Families who want to participate in Year 2 of the program.
Step 1: Select Appropriate Application Year
To start your recertification process, please ensure you are in the correct year. Please select "2026-2027" in the dropdown found on the right hand corner.
Once the correct application window has been selected, you may start your application for recertification.
Step 2: Returning Students
Please ensure all returning students have their names checked if you wish to continue their recertification. If you have a student who no longer wishes to participate in the program or no longer meets the criteria for the program, uncheck their corresponding box. If you uncheck a student and you select continue, you will not be able to re-check this student. Please double check before continuing the recertification process. If you experience any issues in this step, please contact our support team.
Step 3: Reverifying Parent/Guardian Information
At this step, you will add your parent details in order to verify your information.
Step 4: Reverifying Student Information
At this step, you will be asked to reverify all information for your student(s).
Step 5: If Applicable - Add Additional Students
Please note if you wish to add any new students to your application, this is the time to do so.
Before continuing you must confirm all students have been added. If you need to add additional children, please select [Go Back]. If all students have been added, please select [Yes].
Step 6: Confirm Parent Identification
At this step you will be required to add the parent's SSN or ITIN. Please ensure this information is correct. Failure to add correct identification number will result in additional checks, documentation uploads, and may result in ineligibility.
Step 7: Parent Attestations
Please review the attestations and check the box next to each to affirm your understanding.
In order to affirm the attestations, you must type out the following: I have read and understand.
Please make sure you type this out exactly as written, including capitalization and punctuation or you will not be able to continue.
Step 8: Application Review
Reviewing your application before submission is required. Please ensure you carefully review each step and continue if everything is correct. If there is anything that is incorrect, please edit the information before continuing.
Once everything has been reviewed and is confirmed as correct, you may submit your application.
Step 9: Information Verification
Once submitted, your application will go through verification.
If additional information is required, then you will be instructed to start the additional verification process.
If all information is provided and verification is complete, you will receive an initial verdict of your application.
