Who is eligible to receive funding?
Only GESA approved private schools are allowed to receive tuition payments using Georgia Promise Scholarship funding. More information regarding how to pay tuition can be found here: Tuition Walkthrough Tutorial
Online tuition is not allowed on the Marketplace. Any offering that involves live instruction, such as through Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or similar platforms, will be denied. Unapproved private schools are also not permitted to offer full tuition through the Marketplace.
Home Study and Other Educational Support:
Please note, if your student is registered as "Home-Study" or "Other Educational Support" your student will not be able to use their funding for tuition purposes. Students who have selected these methods for their education will be able to use their funds to further their educational experience with the goods and services offered in the marketplace.
Additional Information to Consider:
- Tuition can be paid on a quarterly basis. This will align with the quarterly schedule for fund disbursement to parents
- Only one tuition payment can be made to one school per quarter
- Parents can select a new school at any point, but will only be able to send tuition to that school if they have not already sent a payment for the quarter and they have confirmed the school's annual tuition amount within the Odyssey portal
